Wednesday Evening, 9.09.09

6:15- 6:20- - Welcome!

    Our Mistress of Ceremonies-

Bonnie Faulkner host of Guns and Butter, a weekly one-hour public affairs program that airs on Pacifica's KPFA Radio in Berkeley, 94.1FM, every Wednesday at 1pm. Guns & Butter has been broadcast weekly since September 11, 2002. The program regularly analyzes the events of September 11, 2001 as a pretext for permanent war, the phony war on terror and the emergence of a militarized police state. Other programming has addressed such topics as economics, homelessness, Zionism and assassination.

She co-produced and co-hosted Guns & Butter on an occasional basis starting in October, 2001 while doing field reporting for the KPFA News Department, which she joined in April of 2001. Prior to joining KPFA, she was a contributing producer of Project Censored's monthly public affairs radio documentary, "For The Record". She was a land use activist in Venice, California for many years, challenging the City of Los Angeles' approval of commercial re-zoning and development in the coastal zone of Venice. She founded the North Venice Boulevard Neighborhood Association to fight the removal of residential housing and to protect coastal access. She graduated from the University of California at Irvine.

6:20- 7:00- - Excerpt from the film Metal of Honor with Mike Daly

    Metal of Honor

Metal of Honor by Rachel Maguire chronicles the account of the courageous New York City ironworkers who risked their lives following the tragic events of September 11th. Their story is largely untold, but the rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center after the 9/11 attacks would not have been possible without these men. With no narration, the story is told through compelling personal interviews with the men who battled through the war zone haze of ash and rubble. Armed with cutting torches, they risked their personal safety to burn through steel, clearing paths for equipment and emergency personnel.

Traumatic images still haunt their dreams; the smell never leaves their memories. Many suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder and respiratory problems. Metal of Honor is their story, in their words -- a story of human spirit, camaraderie and passion. [The entire film is 75 minutes in length. The filmmaker gave us permission to show a 27 minute excerpt.]

    Mike Daly

Mike Daly is an Ironworkers 377 member, and works with the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers Local 21. He was born and raised in NYC Metro Area. He attended St. Louis University and GW University. He is a Steel Industry Construction Manager and a member of the LaborFest Organizing Committee, as well as a delegate - to Bay Area Labor Councils. He is married, has a daughter and lives in San Francisco.

Metal of Honor chronicles the incredible account of the courageous New York City ironworkers who risked their lives following the tragic events of September 11th. In solidarity with the ironworkers of New York, Mike has sought to bring their voices, stories to the Bay Area.

7:00- 7:20- - 10 Minute Version of Blueprint for Truth with Richard Gage - "AE911Truth: Challenges & Updates"

In this multimedia presentation, filmed professionally in a studio before a live audience, San Francisco Bay Area architect, Richard Gage, AIA, provides the overwhelming evidence of explosive controlled demolition of all 3 WTC high-rise buildings on September 11, 2001.

    Richard Gage

Richard Gage, AIA, is a San Francisco Bay Area architect and a member of the American Institute of Architects. He is the founding member of ae911Truth. He has been a practicing architect for over 20 years and has worked on most types of building construction, including numerous fire-proofed steel-framed buildings. Most recently he worked on the construction documents for a $400M mixed-use urban project with 1.2 million square feet of retail, parking structure, and 320,000 square feet of mid-rise office space—altogether about with 1,200 tons of steel framing. Mr. Gage became interested in researching the destruction of the WTC high-rises after hearing the startling conclusions of a reluctant 9/11 researcher, David Ray Griffin, on the radio in 2006, which launched his own unyielding quest for the truth about 9/11.
7:20- 7:30- David Ray Griffin - "Osama Bin Laden: Dead or Alive?"

7:30- 7:42- - Bonnie Faulkner, NYCCAN update with Janette MacKinlay

    Janette MacKinlay

Janette MacKinlay watched the events of 9/11 unfold out the window of her apartment located directly across the street from the World Trade Center complex. She and her partner remained inside their apartment and survived the blast which burst their windows and flooded their apt. with dust and debris upon the collapse of Tower Two. After staying in a hotel for five weeks, while attempting to recover personal belongings, Janette returned to her home in Oakland, California to recover from the emotional effects of the trauma. Her journey to recovery initially involved art, and she had exhibitions featuring a memorial series of flower arrangements using her skills in Ikebana, Japanese flower arranging. She documented her experiences in a book called, Fortunate: A Personal Diary of 9/11. Her recovery also involved educating herself regarding the who, what and why's of 9/11. Upon seeing the 9/11 Commissioners present their report at a Commonwealth Club event in San Francisco, she was convinced there was a coverup and became active in the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance. She also returned to New York and became active there, as well. She is on the board of NYCCAN which is working to get an initiative on the ballot in New York City for a new investigation of 9/11. Janette will give an update on the situation in New York.

(Janette is also featured in the film- Loose Change 9/11: An American Coup.)

7:42- 7:45- - The World Premiere of Loose Change 9/11: An American Coup introduced by filmmaker Dylan Avery

    Dylan Avery

Dylan Avery is the writer and director of the “Loose Change” series of documentaries regarding the events of September 11th, 2001. Born in Leesburg, Virginia and raised in Upstate New York, he was rejected from film school twice. In 2002, Avery began researching and writing a feature film about 9/11 and the United States Government's possible involvement which led to a number of actual questions about the events and ultimately became the premise for "Loose Change.” At 25 years old, Avery continues to work tirelessly to make the best films possible and raise awareness for the Truth Movement as well as money for the First Responders and other 9/11 related causes through the Avery Foundation. He currently resides in California and is writing a full length feature film that will begin pre-production in late 2009.

Loose Change 9/11: An American Coup was written and directed by Dylan Avery. With the departure of the Bush Administration and the arrival of an “era of transparency,” opportunities are arising for the disclosure of new information that may shed more light on the events that took place before and after 9/11/2001. Dramatically narrated by Daniel Sunjata of FX’s Rescue Me, and an outspoken advocate for the First Responders, Loose Change 9/11: An American Coup first examines mysterious and infamous events that reshaped world history – from the Reichstag Fire in 1933 that catapulted Hitler to dictatorship - to the Gulf of Tonkin Incident in 1964 that led to the Vietnam War, and then takes viewers on a turbulent journey through several pivotal moments in history before delving into the most significant catastrophe in recent memory, 9/11.

9:20- 9:50- - Q & A with Dylan Avery assisted by Peter B. Collins

Peter B. Collins
Peter B. Collins lives in the Bay Area and is a well known voice on the radio. He currently hosts Peter B. Collins Show and has included on his show many of the most articulate voices in the Truth Movement.

9:50- 10:49- - Film - 7/7 Ripple Effect

The film “7/7 Ripple Effect” was finished and publicly released electronically on the Internet on the 5th November 2007 (Guy Fawke’s Day) by Muad’Dib. He also sent out physical DVD copies during May/June 2008, when the first trial of the three men was taking place at Kingston. Later, on 1st August 2008, it was reported that the jury in this trial cannot arrive at a verdict after three weeks of consideration, and the judge dismissed them. On 19th August 2008, a BBC Conspiracy Files film crew tracked down Muad’Dib’s residence and ambushed him, cameras rolling. Muad’Dib didn’t speak a word to them and walked past them. That took place AFTER email exchanges between BBC representatives and Muad’Dib, initiated by the BBC, where Muad’Dib stated his conditions in order to agree to take part in their programme about his film, which they refused to agree to. As a direct result of Muad’Dib’s non-compliance with the BBC, the authorities resorted to their plan B: the arrest of Muad'Dib, and (as of now) attempted extradition to face trial in England. 7/7 Ripple Effect is the British version of Loose Change which directly challenges the official story of the 7/7 attacks in London.

10:49- 10:59- - Carol Brouillet

Thursday Afternoon, 9.10.09

Noon-

    Our Mistress of Ceremonies-

Bonnie Faulkner host of Guns and Butter, a weekly one-hour public affairs program that airs on Pacifica's KPFA Radio in Berkeley, 94.1FM, every Wednesday at 1pm. Guns & Butter has been broadcast weekly since September 11, 2002. She founded the North Venice Boulevard Neighborhood Association to fight the removal of residential housing and to protect coastal access. She graduated from the University of California at Irvine.

12:10- 1:54- - Film: Fabled Enemies by Jason Bermas

Fabled Enemies by Jason Bermas explores a vast intelligence network and how they were able to succeed almost 7 years ago. In the court of public opinion Osama Bin laden was convicted on day 1, there were no other suspects. Many of the alleged hijackers were trained at U.S. military facilities, and still others had ties to the FBI. When others within the FBI tried to go after Bin Laden, and his financial supporters, their investigations were impeded and shut down.

Able Danger the Black Ops program that identified the hijackers prior to 9/11 had also tried to move the information to the FBI, but the FBI still was not interested for some reason. Anthony Shaffer who headed up this team later met with Phillip Zelikow, the Executive Director of the 9/11 Commission, to try and pass this information along after the fact. It was then covered up, not included in the report, and Shaffer and his team were gagged and slandered. The film then explores the mystery of those who were detained on the morning of September 11th. Several vans were stopped that morning containg Israeli citizens, who either seemed to have prior knowledge of the attacks, or had explosives in their vehicle. When investigators started looking into this network it was revealed they did indeed have a classified role in 9/11, and that two companies within the United States may have been helping them gain their intel. This network's existence is then confirmed by whistle blower Sibel Edmonds, who came across a international spy ring containing Turks, Israelis, and member's of Pakistani Intelligence. The Pakistani operation was headed by General Mahmoud Ahmed, who had financial ties to the hijackers, and diplomatic ties to the upper echelons of Washington. By identifying major anomalies, the film shows that the Congressional Report and the 9/11 Commission Report were both whitewashes used to manipulate the public.

1:54- 2:04- - Speaker- Ken Jenkins

    Ken Jenkins

Pioneering 9/11 activist and video producer, Ken Jenkins has a degree in electrical engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University, and has done extensive postgraduate study in psychology. He has since produced dozens of 9/11 DVDs, including eight with leading 9/11 Truth author David Ray Griffin, including what he believes to be his best-“9/11 – The Myth and the Reality”

2:05- 2:59- - Film- Kill the Messenger by French filmmakers- Mathieu Verboud and Jean R. Viallett

Kill the Messenger by French filmmakers- Mathieu Verboud and Jean R. Viallett looks at the story of Sibel Edmonds who agreed to join the FBI as a translator in the wake of 9/11. Her world was turned upside-down when Sibel she reported wrongdoings to her supervisors. One of her colleagues from the Translation Unit was secretly working for the same Turkish officials who were “targetted” by the top-secret FBI investigations that Sibel was working on. As a “reward” for her whistle-blowing, Sibel was fired from the FBI. The film documents her struggle. Ms. Edmonds is fluent in Turkish, Farsi and Azerbaijani; and has a MA in Public Policy and International Commerce from George Mason University, and a BA in Criminal Justice and Psychology from George Washington University. PEN American Center awarded Ms. Edmonds the 2006 PEN/Newman's Own First Amendment Award for her "commitment to preserving the free flow of information in the United States in a time of growing international isolation and increasing government secrecy." Thursday Evening, 9.10.09

5:45 - 5:50- - Evening welcome with Bonnie Faulkner, intro to the film Anthrax War by Eric Nadler

5:50- 7:18- - The West Coast Premiere of Anthrax War by Bob Coen and Eric Nadler

    Anthrax War

by Bob Coen and Eric Nadler is a ground-breaking feature length documentary which illuminates the possibility of a Germ War Arms Race. Just weeks after 9/11, anthrax-laced letters sent to government and media offices in Washington and New York. The trail led to the Bio-defense labs of the United States and the U.S. Military’s testing grounds. The filmmakers travel to a top-secret military installation of the former Soviet Union where anthrax escaped thirty years ago, where civilians are still living with the consequences, and where biological weapons work may be continuing. They move on to the savannas of southern Africa, where they meet “Doctor Death” and his associates of the notorious Project Coast who experimented with anthrax and other designer germs during the Apartheid Era. As they travel to the world’s bio-war ‘hot zones’, the filmmakers encounter people confronting the new threat of germ warfare today – investigators, politicians, and journalists probing this nightmare world as well as scientists, legislators and citizen activists working to warn the world that biological arms proliferation will prove catastrophic. The film reveals how the anthrax attacks have helped make bio-defense a mega billion dollar global business, into which the US Government has poured at least $50 billion in the past six years – almost twice as much as the cost of the “Manhattan Project”. While governments describe their measures as ‘defensive’, much of this research and development is necessarily dual use and can be used for ‘offensive’ purposes, which many say, is in violation of existing international treaties and, in the case of the United States, in violation of U. S. law.

Germ weapons research and development, once the domain of secret government programs, is becoming a profitable enterprise for corporations, universities and medical foundations worldwide. New and virulent pathogens are being brought to life by scientists using the latest advances in nanotechnology and genetic engineering, paving the way for such horrors as ‘ethnic specific germ weapons’, never-seen-before ‘designer-bugs’ and emerging new epidemics. The film explores the horrific legacy of human experimentation, spanning decades and continents, in which germ weapons have been tested on unwitting members of armed forces and civilians alike.

Also probed are the mysterious deaths in recent years of several leading scientists working in this field. Bruce Ivins, David Kelly, Vladimir Pasechnik, Larry Ford and Frank Olson each died in violent or suspicious circumstances and have been linked to one of germ warfare’s darkest secrets, state programs developing new strains of anthrax.

Aired in Canada, the documentary also has a companion book, Dead Silence: Fear and Terror on the Anthrax Trail .

7:18- 7:40- - Eric Nadler
